2012 Review

For 2012 I set out to learn to FMQ, and make quilts. I think I got that accomplished! I have only been quilting seriously for a year and I think it's safe to say I built some skills last year.

I made 7 big quilts, 4 mini quilts and several other projects. I'm very pleased with what I was able to accomplished.

My goal for this year is to make more quilts for home. More specifically, one for me that is off limits to ANYONE! Selfish, you say? Ha! Every time I pull out a blanket to snuggle on the couch with, it disappears by the next day!Although I made one for each of my kids, it seems there are never enough blankets/quilts/covers in the house. I would bet that if I dared to enter my daughters room that resembles one of those peoples homes on the show Hoarders, I would find that she thinks she is the Princess and the Pea, only instead of mattress stacked on her bed, it's blankets and quilts:/ But I'm not that brave.( I would be afraid of what I might step on)

Anyway, My hope for 2013 is that it is as much fun and filled with learning as last year;)

  1. Only quilted for a year...that is unbelievable. What an achievement! Also jealous of the amount of projects you completed...very productive indeed. Yes, I am also looking forward to a year of joint learning with the world. It really has been good fun.
    Happy New Year

    1. thank you!! It's been an exciting year! I have been wanting to quilt since I was about 20(way before the internet), but I just didn't know where to start. I'm glad I found Leah and blogging!

    1. LOL! That's kind of how I feel about it. when I get mine made, I dare my kids to use it! My youngest took TWO quilts from me last night! One I made him so, OK. But the other he just likes a lot so he thinks he's the only one who can use it. Little turd, haha!
