I did all of the binding in Jay McCarroll's Habitat City Planning in Green. I absolutely love it!
I'm glad to have this quilt done and it holds a special place in my heart. I set out to learn to FMQ and a year later, I can say, I AM a Free Motion Quilter! If you want to see the individual square up close you can check out my Flickr account here http://www.flickr.com/photos/freshoffthespool/sets/72157630442317044/
Upon posting these picks I just realized I mixed 2 of my squares up! The orange at the top of this photo with the light pink directly under it. DANGIT! I thought I was being so careful! Oh, well, these things happen;)

Looks great...would not have spotted the orange square mix-up.
ReplyDeleteI knew something was off when I first took the picture, but I couldn't put my finger on it.
DeleteIt is wonderful! The switch of the 2 squares really doesn't matter - it still looks planned. Congrats on getting it done! ~Jeanne
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jeanne:)
DeleteNydelig frihÄnds quilting:)
ReplyDeleteDanielle, that is beautiful! I learned from Leah the same way. I made a QAYG memorial tee shirt quilt and did a different stitch in each of the 36 blocks. It was fun, a great learning experience and the recipients loved it. Win, win, win!!!
ReplyDeleteI think I might just make another one! It was fun:)
DeleteDanielle, I am so proud of you. Your stitching is beautiful, and I know you have grown much over the year. You accomplished your goal!!! That's terrific!

ReplyDeleteThanks, MC! It's been a fun year all of us growing together learning this trade!
