4th Christmas Quilt Done!

I have finished the 4th Christmas quilt and started working on the 5th (last) one for my Christmas quota. :)

I quilted Cameron's quilt with the Matrix. I quilted pretty far apart. About 4 in. It's going to be very cuddly;)

The last one is for my son, Drew who also likes blue. This one will be HST's again, but very different.

I got a new ruler to assist in trimming HST's and I have to say I love it!

I know my posts and comments have been scarce. But I am concentrating on "making" at the moment. So I apologies. Also, posting from my iPhone with iPhone. Not sure how that's gonna work out. I'll get better pictures of Cameron's quilt later.

I'm linking up with Leah Day's quilt along Wednesday's.

Now, off to bed:)

  1. That looks great. Was it hard to pull this through the machine at that distance?
That ruler looks interesting...could be the answer to my non-square HST...love those gadgets!

    1. Yes, it was hard. I have some big ugly stitches and bobbles here and there. :/ But nothing I can't live with. I only tried the ruler on one square just to see how it worked. It was so much easier than trying to square it with a regular ruler. Im pretty sure I'm going to like it. :)

  2. You are doing well for Christmas - I haven't even made the cake! Your son will love his gorgeous quilt! I have a June Tailor ruler for cutting strips and that works very well - I'll have to look out for the HST one. Is there a horizontal cut slot as well as the vertical ones? Any chance of a tutorial showing how it works? Lynne.

    2. you have to turn the ruler to get the opposite sides. Its very easy to use, but if I have time, I'll do a quick tutorial:)

  4. The quilting design looks great on that scale, well done! Your ruler looks very quick, I will look for a similar one before my next HST project.

  5. How inspiring - you keep churning out such beautiful quilts. I don't know how you do it - I am still behind (just finishing weeks 38 & 39 of the project) and haven't thought as far ahead as Christmas yet! Love the quilt you made for Cameron, can't wait to see more of it.

  6. Well, I'm not sure either! I never worked this fast before. I guess the motivation is I want all of my kids to have one for Christmas. But I will tell you one thing. My house is pretty icky at the moment:/ Not much time for cleaning!!

    1. Thanks! I wasn't sure if I liked at first, but I'm glad I kept quilting and didn't rip it out! It's super soft and looks pretty cool once you get done:)

  9. I used the Matrix on a Babyquilt and it's really a fast design to quilt. And it turns out so beautiful. I love your HSTs and the arrangement!
