FMQ Scale Practice

Here's my scale practice. I banged this out tonight. That is probably why I'm not to happy with it.*PROCRASTINATOR*I have been working on a quilt top all week + working so I just haven't had time. In my rush to catch up, I made quite a few mistakes. My big is to big. I had a lot more hooks than I care for. Sometimes I think I repeat my shapes a little to much. I really need to work on making the shapes fit together. One thing I am happy with is my tension was good all the way through! Over all, I guess it's not to bad. The best lesson for me was I can't rush myself and expect good results!!

    1. Thanks for all your nice comments! If I had all the time in the world, this probably all I would do! Quilting, that is, I mean;)

  2. I think your FMQ scale looks great! The stitch length looks good, as you said tension is good. And I think the shapes look good! You are too hard on yourself!

  4. Looks really nice ! Glad you were able to keep up with the project homework while finishing a quilt top and working. I like the shape of your stippling and think it blends real nice.
    Godspeed,

  5. From one procrastinator to another - we better learn to cut ourselves some slack. When I look at your big scale I don't see lots of hooks - I see even, well spaced and random stippling. I also see three distinct scales over the whole sandwich. So to me its a huge success, and you have had an impressively productive week. Me, I've just been at a party that lasted 10 days. . . the only product is exhaustion!
