I'm Eggstatic

I'm eggstatic how my eggs have turned out! Each one took sooooo much longer than I thought it would, but I think it has been worth it! I'm hoping this quilt will have a modern twist and not end up.....cheezy;)

I plan on getting my eggs together soon. I have to wait until next week to order my quilt backing fabric(which I have picked out). But that is ok,it will give me time to figure out how to quilt it. My goal is to have it done by easter! Check back soon! I have been doing regular updates on my FB page if you want to follow HERE. Maybe one day I will update my blog and put all of the fancy buttons on it :/ I will be posting again soon, I hope:)

  1. OMG...that is fantastic. Looks like a lot of work but what a truly individual piece.
    Love the colours.

  2. Thank you! It is a lot of work, but I find myself a little sad now that the egg part is over. You know that feeling of anticipation of how a block will turn out? Now that I have to wait to order the fabric for the backing, I'm kinda bummed. The fabric I picked out is $11.95 a yard, so it will have to wait until Friday. But it's so perfect, it's worth the wait-and money:)

  4. Love, love, love this!!! The colors are gorgeous and the whole egg design in wonderfully unique. I haven't tried to do the 'egg thing' yet but I'll never come close to your beautiful designs. Can't wait to see how you quilt this. ~Jeanne

    1. The egg shape is the easy part, it's all the small patchwork that takes so much time;)

  5. Wow! this is just amazing. What intricate details on each egg. You should put some of pics of each egg separate. Just stunning.
