They look fairly equal as far as features and accessories if you're looking from a mainly quilting point of view, so I'd go with the better deal. Also, it's harder finding information on the 6300 which tells me that they've stopped making it. Take along a practice sandwich and ask the dealer to set up their floor model for FMQ-ing. See how you like it. Ask questions. The FMQ feet don't look like they're standard with the 1600 so ask them to toss in a set for free.
